    Introduction of Training Center

    The training center of Jilin Railway Technology College is a historical training base which trains officers for China Railway Corporation, Shenyang Railway Bureau, Harbin Railway Bureau, the National Local Railway Association and the SME Bureau of Jilin Province.

    It has been 60 years since our college began to do the training job during the1950s and 1960s.

    The training center is a division which takes charge of organizing and managing allkinds of training affairs. It sets up three departments including the GeneralAffair Department, the House keeping Department and the Food & Beverage Department.

    The training center independently possesses 3 appropriative computer labs(containing 270 computers), 11 class rooms, 1 conference room, 1 lecture room which could contain 180 people and a multi-functional lecture hall which could contain 328 people. The accommodation of the training center contains 182 standard rooms and 168 triple rooms. The canteen of the training center contains a public dining hall and 9 private dining suits which all together could hold nearly 1000 people to have meals at the same time.

    Moreover,there are more than 1000 computers in the public computer room, a number oflecture theaters, the student recreation center, the library and labs &training bases for students from different departments. All these above couldbe used for training education and students` activities.

    The teaching affairs of the training center are brought into line with the general teaching affairs by our college.On the aspect of faculties, we successively choose more than 100 experienced and excellent teachers through examinations in order to have them take responsibilities on the training of cadres.

    Main assignments and objects:

    1. The training for financial staff in railway system on the National Professional and Technical Personnel Computer Application Ability Test;

    2. The training for national or local railway enterprise leaders and professional technicianson updating knowledge and improving skills;

    3. The training for various kinds of professional techniciansof Shenyang Railway Bureau on the continuing education and the application of new technology;

    4. The training for excellent workshop managers, section chiefs & foremen and 1000 college student attendants of Shenyang Railway Bureau;

    5. Organizing the professional technicians to take the National Professional and Technical Personnel Computer Application Ability Test;

    6. Organizing the National Computer Rank Examination;

    7. The training for the SME Bureau officers in Jilin Province on knowledge updating;

    8. The skill training for new rural surplus labors;

    The training center emphasizes on fostering qualities and abilities of trainees,and we stick to the teaching plan rigorously. During the past three years, the training center has trained over 10000 trainees per year.

    Through the training,the quality and knowledge structures of staff members have been vastly improved, which have also made a significant contribution to the railway systemand the local economic construction.
