With a faculty and staff for both full-time and part-time, Railway Transport Department now has 54 faculty staff and 3 specialties. The railway transport administration specialty has been designated as one of the Provincial Teaching Reform Pilots, Demonstration Specialties and Brand Specialties in vocational higher education. There are 1,500 students in the Railway Transport Department.
There are 10 training sites including a training site for railway passenger transport, the comprehensive professional practicing field, the command and control training site, the transportation computer simulation training siteand the transportation equipment laboratory. Moreover, it has conducted cooperative programs with 23 enterprises including Northeast Asia Railway GroupCo. LTD，Hunchun Branch,JilinTrain Operation Depot of Shenyang Railway Bureau,Jilin Passenger Transportation Section and Changchun Passenger Transportation Section.
